Billionaire Jeff Bezos announced a few months ago that he was moving from Seattle to Miami, and he is undoubtedly arriving in Florida in style. It was recently reported that the Amazon founder purchased a third property on Indian Creek, the island known as “the millionaires’ bunker.”
According to ‘Bloomberg’, Bezos paid $90 million for the new property. It is said that this residence had not changed owners since 1998, the year it was purchased for just $2.5 million dollars.
This news could alarm the residents of the exclusive island, which only includes 41 homes and a Country Club in a 300-acre lot, since they now own three properties in the area.
It should be remembered that before announcing his move, the businessman bought two neighboring mansions and it is said that he will join both plots to create a large residence complex.
The first was purchased in August 2023 for $68 million dollars. The residence was said at the time to have been originally built in the 1960s on a 2.8-acre lot, and includes a large 9,259-square-foot main house.
Months later, in October of last year, Bezos managed to buy the neighboring mansion for $79 million dollars. The second mansion is built on a 1.84-acre lot and its main house spans 19,064 square feet.
Although they are two large mansions, the truth is that Bezos plans to demolish them to launch a new construction project. And what ‘Bloomberg’ assures is that Bezos and his fiancée Lauren Sanchez will use the newly purchased property to live while the project ends.
It should be remembered that after his move announcement it was said that the businessman was looking for a residence in Miami to use as a temporary home, and finally decided to buy in the same area where he has already invested.
There are no photos of the new mansion, since the purchase was made in negotiations outside the real estate market.
