More accidents due to easy access to guns
This is not the first time that a minor has access to a firearm; sometimes it is small children who without problem take a gun and cause severe accidents.
At the end of March, Minnesota police reported on a minor who was shot in the head and had to be transferred to a hospital where he was reported to be in serious condition.
Authorities revealed that the alleged shooter was a 13-year-old girl, who was arrested and booked into the Ramsey County Juvenile Detention Center. Apparently, the girl had access to the firearm without any restrictions.
A Tennessee family was affected by a similar case, as a 13-year-old girl died after shooting the gun her mother was carrying in her purse. As described by Nashville police, the girl was looking for something in her mother’s purse when she shot herself; the mother said she did not know she had a loaded gun.
