The New York Yankees remain inspired after they began the 2024 Major League season with their best start since 1923 (6-1), however the offense of certain elements of the team has been a headache for the Mules, although the pillars of the team believe that this can change.

Throughout the seven games they have had this season, the Yankees’ offense has been able to score up to 32 runs, which has left them six victories, the strong component of the team with names like Anthony Rizzo, Aaron Judge and Giancarlo Stanton have not been able to contribute to racing.

On the other hand, the Dominican Juan Soto, Anthony Volpe and the Venezuelan Oswaldo Cabrera have joined forces for the Bronx attacks, but despite that, positivism reigns in the dugout of the 27-time World Series champion team.

One of the biggest cases of offensive failure has been captain Aaron Judge. Until this Wednesday, Judge was averaging .148 and had not shown the key hits that Yankees fans are accustomed to, but now he had a small improvement in the game against the Arizona Diamondbacks by hitting his first home run of the campaign.

Regarding the particular case of Judge, as well as Rizzo and Stanton, manager Aaron Boone assured that it is normal for them to suffer these types of situations before they are freed and can show their real power.

“The physical tools are there. Sometimes you have to go through these ups and downs as he finds his way,” Boone said.

For his part, Rizzo spoke about the team’s drought during the Yankees’ only loss, 7-0 against the Diamondbacks this Tuesday, and highlighted the work of starter Zac Gallen, who finished with nine strikeouts during the game.

“He was hitting his points, especially with two strikes. He wasn’t missing the plate,” Rizzo commented on the Yankees’ drought on Tuesday due to Gallen’s work.

The team’s biggest concern is their ability to swing at the plate, especially Stanton, who has 11 strikeouts in 21 at-bats.

The statistic is also expanded with the Yankees’ seven games this season, with a total of 63 strikeouts in seven games and most of them in man-in-scoring position situations.

It will be the task of the Yankees coaching staff to try to resolve the strikeouts that the team’s lineup has suffered in all games, so that the currency can continue having the great moment they are experiencing and that they can finally reach the postseason that was elusive in 2022.
