The fervor for the Powerball drawing is reaching peak levels as it offers a unique opportunity to win a historic $1.23 billion prize.

The Powerball has kept players in suspense since January, as no one has been able to win the jackpot. Since then, the jackpot has increased to reach the record figure and that someone could win in the next drawing that will take place next Saturday, April 6.

According to the Powerball rules, anyone, regardless of their nationality or place of residence, can participate in the drawing, so residents of the United States can purchase physical tickets, but people living in other countries can also purchase them through from various websites.

The procedure to participate in the Powerball drawings is simple. Players must select 6 numbers on their ticket: 5 numbers corresponding to the white balls, chosen between 1 and 69, and an additional number corresponding to the red ball, selected between 1 and 26. To win the jackpot, It is required to match the six numbers drawn during the event.

Although the jackpot is the primary goal, participants with fewer guesses can also win secondary prizes, ranging from $4 to $1 million. The possibility of winning a prize is an additional motivation for players.

Powerball drawings take place 3 times a week, on Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays, at 10:59 p.m. (ET). The drawing location is the Florida Lottery drawing studio in Tallahassee. Tickets can be purchased in 48 jurisdictions, including most states, Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands.

It is important to note that while some states offer the option of purchasing tickets online, this option is restricted to residents of that jurisdiction.
