American actor Michael Douglas got one of the biggest surprises of his life during his most recent participation in the program “Finding Your Roots.” And given the interpreter’s ignorance, presenter Henry Louis Gates Jr. revealed to him that he is the “DNA cousin” of the Oscar-nominated actress Scarlett Johansson.

Why are Michael Douglas and Scarlett Johansson related?
According to the host of the famous show, Douglas and Johansson “share identical stretches of DNA on four different chromosomes.” In the same show it was revealed that the maternal lines of the “Black Widow” performer, which come from the Jewish communities of Eastern Europe, lead her to her relationship with Michael Douglas.
