Since the arrival of Cristiano Ronaldo to the Saudi Pro League, the Portuguese has not stopped scoring goals. He already has 50 goals in 55 games with the Al Nassr jersey, which have helped his club remain second in the standings.

Currently Cristiano Ronaldo is the top scorer in the Saudi championship with 29 goals. He also has seven other goals in the Asian Cup and Champions League for a total of 36 goals this season.

The Saudi Pro League has only seven days left to reach its end. And although Al Nassr has a very difficult time cutting the 11 point lead over Al Hilal, Cristiano Ronaldo can still achieve something historic on an individual level.

And the Portuguese star is only six goals away from surpassing Abderrazak Hamdallah’s record in the 2018/2019 season. Who scored 34 goals, coincidentally also with Al Nassr, to take the tournament’s top scorer award.

This Moroccan figure remains the highest number of goals scored in a season in the Arab League. A record that Cristiano Ronaldo would be very close to breaking this year.

For them, the Portuguese star would have to score six goals in his next seven games. A figure that, taking into account the performance that the experienced forward has been having, seems not to be a problem.

CR7 has just scored seven goals in the last three games. In two of them he scored hat-tricks consecutively, so the remaining goals to enter the history books of the Saudi league seem to be totally achievable for the scorer.

On the other hand, Al Nassr has to play the Super Cup semi-final against Al Hilal and the King’s Cup semi-final against Al Khaleej. Objectives that seem more important than the league, since 12 points from the top, it seems very difficult to overcome.

That is why Cristiano has seen his playing time reduced in league matches. The last game he was a substitute and he came on with 25 minutes left, enough to score a goal. However, the coach’s decision to save the Portuguese for important matches could see his goal of reaching the goals record frustrated.
