A Lyft driver in the state of Virginia hit the jackpot in the lottery by taking home a $150,000 prize thanks to a small $5 tip he received while working.
Pasch, of Virginia Beach, told Virginia Lottery officials that a customer gave him a $5 cash tip.
Shortly after, he stopped for gas at the 7-Eleven on Lynnhaven Parkway in Virginia Beach and decided to use the ticket to buy a Strike It Rich scratch-off ticket.
The man got the surprise of his life when he scratched off the ticket and revealed that he had a prize of $150,000.
“I was pretty excited,” Pasch said. “I got a little dizzy.”
The driver did not say if he has any plans for what he will do with his winnings.
