Former baseball player JJ Hardy’s construction plans are in danger, after one of his neighbors complained to the media about the noise and chaos generated by work in the mansion’s backyard.
Hardy owns a large property in Chandler, Arizona, and a couple of months ago he started building his own baseball field in the backyard of his mansion.
Now, Pam Lang, a resident of the community, has declared to the local media ‘Arizona’s Family’ that she was never informed about the construction. “Everyone has the right to enjoy their own garden, but this is something that goes beyond what it is reasonable to expect the neighbors to tolerate,” the woman said.
In addition to the noise, Lang is left with at least a dozen 20-foot poles that were installed at the site that are visually disturbing. The woman alleges that she never moved to the location to be next to a baseball field.
The media explains that the former baseball player’s house is built on an island in Maricopa County, while Lang’s is within the Chandler community itself. This is why he told ‘Arizona’s Family’: “There is an inherent injustice in this, an injustice because he can do whatever he wants because it’s an island county, and I can’t.”
Although the person assures that the athlete can do whatever he wants, the truth is that he has received an alert. County authorities have realized that there are still permits to be approved for construction to be completed.
Hardy, who played for the Milwaukee Brewers, Minnesota Twins and Baltimore Orioles, has until April 22 to obtain the remaining permits. It seems that if he does not achieve it within that period he will have to cancel the entire project and, it is assumed, that he will have to invest in reversing what he has done with the field.
‘Arizona’s Family’ also released some images taken by drones, in which you can see the large property already has a tennis court and a putting green, in addition to the terrace, pool and other outdoor recreational areas.
