The 1-1 equality this Saturday between New York Red Bulls and Vancouver Whitecaps did not leave good feelings in both teams due to their aspirations to reach the leadership of their respective MLS, but one of the goals, that of Brian White, did surprise for the impressive technical gesture.

White, who not only was a New York player for several seasons in the past but also received a warm tribute on his return to the Red Bull Arena in New Jersey, billed his former team just in the 15th minute with a gem that did not go unnoticed in any moment.

In a poor defensive retreat by Red Bulls, Whitecaps circulated the ball down the right wing to the feet of Ryan Raposo, who traveled a few meters and sent a low cross that White took advantage of to send into the back of the net.

And it wasn’t just any definition, but one where he anticipated center back Tristan Blackmon to release the cue and beat the Japanese goalkeeper Yohei Takaoka.

Additionally, the score helped White become the Canadian team’s all-time leading scorer, which gave him greater value.

His goal was celebrated by the few Whitecaps fans who were present in New Jersey but it quickly went viral on social networks by those who considered the goal one of the best that has been scored to date in the MLS and in what that goes from 2024.
