Venezuelan migrant Leonel Moreno, known as Leito Oficial, has not been able to get the money he needs to pay a lawyer, sources revealed to the New YorkPost.

Thus, it became evident that the young man, who has been detained in the Geauga County (Ohio) jail since the end of March, does not have the wads of dollars that he boasted on his social networks.

“He is having financial difficulties finding a lawyer for his case,” a source from the United States Immigration and Customs Enforcement Agency told the New York media.

He added that an immigration judge has postponed hearings in the case because the foreigner has not been able to raise the money to pay a lawyer.

“It hurts them that I bill more”

Leito Oficial on several occasions published videos on his social media accounts in which he denigrated honest workers who came to the United States and in which he also claimed that he earned more money begging on the streets or through supposed government plans that gave him money. for having an American daughter.

“I know that my content doesn’t hurt you, it hurts that I make more money than you without having to be slaves. The difference between you and me is that I will always make money without much work and you, an exploited, miserable person,” she said in a post on Instagram.

“What it costs you to raise $15,000 dollars in 200 years, I can do in a couple of months,” he said.

For spreading false information and even inciting the commission of crimes in the United States, the TikTok platform closed his account due to cancellation requests it received from other users. In an unusual way, the foreigner even promoted the invasion of abandoned houses in US territory.

Although that publication obtained an impressive reach, which caused rejection even from fellow citizens, the young man was arrested by agents of the Immigration and Customs Enforcement Service because he violated the conditions of his parole, which were imposed after he was captured while irregularly crossing the border into the United States.

“Yes, they closed my TikTok account, but I bill through Facebook and Instagram. I’m not going to bill the same, but I’m going to recover my TikTok account and I’m going to continue billing, which is what hurts you, envious. The content doesn’t hurt you, what hurts you is the money. Remember that many were born to slaves and others to princes. Get that through your head,” she expressed.

In a statement previously provided to ThePost, An ICE spokesperson reported: “Leonel Moreno is a Venezuelan citizen illegally present in the United States, who entered the country on April 23, 2022.

The Border Patrol assigned the foreigner to the Alternatives to Detention program and told him that he must report to the Detention and Removal Operations office within 60 days of arriving at his destination, but the young man did not do so.

On March 29, 2024, Officer Leito was arrested in Gahanna, Ohio, by agents from ERO’s Columbus office in Detroit.
