An Uber Eats delivery girl revealed how much money she earns for each delivery she makes, generating an exchange of opinions about the profitability of this job.
Las Vegas resident Karyna Díaz shared on her TikTok account the breakdown of her earnings for each order she delivered during an Uber Eats shift driving a car.
It considered both base pay and tips, as well as the distance traveled for each delivery.
He explained that Uber Eats drivers know the potential payment for each delivery when it appears in the app and can select which orders to accept.
At the end of his shift, he revealed that by accepting only the most profitable orders, he earned $172 after working seven hours in an upper-class area.
He clarified that he spent $25 dollars on gasoline, which meant a net income of $147 for the seven hours worked.
In addition, she noted that she sees this job as an additional income, since her main role is to be a housewife, but she takes advantage of the opportunity to earn extra money from time to time.
Reactions in the comments section were mixed, with some pointing out that these figures are not representative of all locations: “I work about 5-8 hours and barely make it to $40 in my area. Keep in mind that my gas expense is $50.”
Others said it was a good option to earn extra income: “It’s a good side job! I do it on my days off from work.”
