The young Manchester City striker, Erling Haaland, will become a playable character in the popular mobile game, Clash of Clans, according to the video game development company, Supercell.

Through a statement posted on social networks, they indicated that Haaland will be part of the game by becoming the “Barbarian King”, a section that will have a football theme that can only be played in the month of May.

According to the creators of Clash of Clans, this is the first time they have added a character based on a real person to the popular game, which already has more than 2 billion downloads worldwide on all platforms.

Players will be able to choose between playing with Haaland’s character to face other clans or try to defeat the town defended by the Norwegian striker.

For the launch campaign, Supercell published a video in which the real Haaland meets characters from the game, who transport him to the animated world of Clash of Clans to face a rival clan, converted into the “Barbarian King.”

As explained by the Finnish company, this collaboration was possible thanks to the fact that Haaland has been a great fan of this video game for a long time, in which he has built an impressive village that he has defended from rival clans.

“It’s been hard to keep this a secret, but I’m excited to finally talk about this epic collaboration with Clash of Clans. “I’m a big fan of the game for a long time and I know everything about it, so to appear as a character in the game is really cool,” said Haaland.

The company assured that this is just the beginning of the collaboration with the Manchester City striker and announced that there will be “even more exciting news” focused on the footballer in the future.
