Liga MX announced the match schedules for this first round of the final phase of Clausura 2024 to form the first Liguilla of the year.

Pachuca, Pumas, Necaxa and Querétaro will fight to take over one of the two tickets distributed by the Play-In and thus be able to qualify for the Liguilla of this Clausura 2024 as the seventh and eighth place.

The Tuzos and the university students will be the first to be able to define their future immediately, since these two will be facing each other this coming Thursday at the Hidalgo Stadium at 9:15 p.m. to take over the first ticket to the Liguilla (seventh place) that is awarded the Play-In, although if they are defeated they will still have one more chance to redeem themselves.

As an immediate precedent, there is the 3-1 victory of the cats against the Hidalgo team in CU during the regular phase, although if we take into account the last score that occurred between these two in the Huracán, the coin is up in the air due to It was a 1-1 draw with a goal from Gustavo del Prete (he is now in Mazatlán) and an own goal from Nathan Silva (Auriazul defender).

On the other side of the table, we find Necaxa and Querétaro, who will face each other at the Victoria Stadium on Thursday at 7:00 p.m. with the intention of playing a second game in the Play-In, since the team that is defeated in This commitment will be saying goodbye to Clausura 2024, while the other will remain alive at this stage of the tournament to play one more match.

It must be remembered that during the regular phase of this championship these two clubs tied 1-1 at the Corregidora Stadium thanks to Emilio Martínez’s own goal (Necaxa player) and Diego Gómez’s score in the last minute for the visitors.

This equality on the scoreboard has been a constant in the last five confrontations between these two entities, since this result has occurred on four occasions, while on the other, the Queretaro team emerged victorious by the slightest difference in Aguascalientes.

Finally, the eighth ticket for the Liguilla will be disputed between the loser of Pachuca vs. Pumas and the winner between the Rayos and the Gallos. This match will be held at the Hidalgo Stadium or at the Olympic University because they have a better position in the table than the other two teams. The institution that manages to win in the 90 minutes or on penalties will be the last guest at the ‘Big Party’.
