The Colombian driver, icon of motorsports in Latin America, Juan Pablo Montoya, announced this Tuesday that he will dedicate himself to telling his life in a documentary series that will show part of his illustrious and extensive career in the sport.

As part of what was more than 15 years of career in motorsports, with participation in the highest category Formula 1, as well as IndyCar, F3000, CART and NASCAR, Montoya will be in front of the cameras in a series that although It will not have an established script, it promises to reveal the main details that its internship left behind.

Regarding the production, the coffee grower provided information related to the project and above all the importance that his story can inspire others to enter motorsport.

“Sharing my story is a privilege. I think it’s great that people know where I come from, what I’ve done and what I’ve learned. I hope it inspires not only racing fans, but anyone who believes in pursuing their dreams against all obstacles,” said Montoya.

The production company that was in charge of making the audiovisual material is called NTERTAIN and has made other Latin narratives such as Los Montaner and La Firma.

Although the official release date to the public is unknown or if it will be broadcast through any streaming platform, the premiere of the documentary took place on May 1 prior to the Miami Grand Prix and the private event included the participation of important figures such as Emilio Estefan, Tommy Mottola and the baseball player Aníbal Sánchez.

As for Montoya’s career in Formula 1, he competed in 95 grand prix between 2001 and 2006 for the Williams and McLaren teams, achieving a total of seven wins.
