There are many options for healthy snacks to avoid the consumption of carbohydrates and sugars, such as nuts, fruits and easy recipes with ingredients that provide nutrients, vitamins, minerals and have a delicious flavor.

The combination of ingredients is vital so that the snack generates a feeling of satiety and provides sufficient energy.

“Apples are a rich and widely consumed source of phytochemicals, and epidemiological studies have linked apple consumption with a reduced risk of some cancers, cardiovascular diseases, asthma and diabetes,” reveals research published by the National Center for Information Biotechnology (NCBI).

For this recipe we will need: apple, cinnamon (optional) and lemon (optional).

The first thing we must do is wash the apples and disinfect them, then cut them in half and start cutting them into thin thin slices, the idea is that they turn out like small transparent donuts.

Once cut, place them on a baking tray lined with waxed paper, sprinkle with cinnamon and lemon.

A trick to make this snack at its best is to preheat the oven to 200 degrees for an hour and then cook the apples for 10 to 15 minutes.

Then they are taken out of the oven when they have a golden color and the corners bend inwards; while for a crispier texture they should be left for longer.
