After the recent announcement of the release of the documentary “Spacey Unmasked”, which will show various testimonies from men who accuse Kevin Spacey of having carried out inappropriate behavior towards them, the Oscar winner raised his voice to deny such statements.
In previous days, the same interpreter of “American Beauty” reacted after it was announced that the documentary, which contains a series of events that occurred between 1976 and 2013 that directly involves Spacey, will be broadcast, in two parts, on the 6th and 7th May on British television Channel 4.
Given this, the American accused the English network of not giving him the opportunity to respond to the accusations against him.
Over the past week, I have repeatedly requested that @Channel4 grant me more than 7 days to respond to the allegations made against me dating back 48 years and provide me with sufficient details to investigate these matters.”
In addition to the above, the actor sent a harsh message mentioning that he will not “sit down to be attacked” with the sole intention of the network obtaining a higher rating.
Kevin Spacey defends himself again
After Spacey’s statement, and in the face of the British television station’s refusal, the actor once again spoke out in his favor through, this time, an interview with presenter Dan Wootton.
In this participation, the “House Of Cards” singer mentioned that he will not allow things to be invented against him and his actions to be exaggerated.
“I take full responsibility for my past behavior and actions, but I cannot and will not accept responsibility or apologize to anyone who has made things up about me or exaggerated stories about me.”
Likewise, and during the same interview, the American actor mentioned that despite having had sexual relations with various men for several years, he has never carried out acts of this type under the pretext of helping someone’s career: “I have never told him to someone who if they do me sexual favors, I will help them in their career, never.”
Finally, Spacey stated that after being acquitted, in 2023 in the United Kingdom, for a series of sexual crimes, he has had various difficulties returning to work, which is why he described this experience as a “life sentence.”
Despite his previous statement, the actor will officially return to cinema through the Italian film “The Contract”, by Italian director Massimo Palucci, which will be released at some point in 2024.
