The new season of the successful Netflix series, “Wednesday”, directed by the legendary director Tim Burton and starring Jenna Ortega, has officially begun filming.
Through social networks, the production showed, true to its style, the beginning of the second season of the show with a video starring one of the Addams Family characters: “thing.”
In the video, you can see the iconic “hand” dragging a small vehicle with various scripts from the first chapter of the second season inside it. As the video progresses, “thing” is seen throwing the scripts into the dressing rooms of the actors who will return such as Oscar winner Catherine Zeta-Jones, in the role of Morticia, Emma Myers, as Enid, among others.
Finally, and after handing out various scripts, “thing” arrives at the door of Jenna Ortega, who plays Wednesday, who comes out of her dressing room to greet the curious member of the Addams Family and mention: “More torture awaits” (more tortures await) and reveal the name of the first chapter: “Here We Woe Again”.
The cast of “Wednesday” and its guest stars
After the brief announcement video, the names that will make up the cast of the second season were shown. Among the most important are the actor Steve Buscemi, the aforementioned Catherine Zeta-Jones, Luis Guzmán, Billie Piper, among others.
However, what really caught the attention was the list of actors invited to the second season. In this section, the names of the legendary “Back Of The Future” actor Christopher Lloyd stand out, who was also part of the 1991 film, playing Fester Addams or Lucas Addams for the Latin audience.
Likewise, the name of actor Haley Joel Osment stands out, recognized for his roles, during his childhood, in films such as “The Sixth Sense”, “AI”, “Forrest Gump”, among others. Likewise, there are the names of actresses of the stature of Heather Matarazzo, “Hostal”, Thandiwe Newton, “Westworld”, among others.
Until now, and after the reveal of the list of guest stars, the role that each of them will play has not been revealed.
In addition to the video released by Netflix, the same production released the first image of the main cast inside one of the recording sets. Until now, and after the revelation of both materials, the release date of the show has not been mentioned.
Prior to the launch of the second season of “Wednesday,” Tim Burton and Jenna Ortega will present, next September, the sequel to the horror classic “Beetlejuice”: “Beetlejuice Beetlejuice.”
