A total of five people, including three children under the age of 10, were victims of a shooting at a residence in San Antonio, Texas, on Wednesday night, which has left them in critical condition. Local authorities have considered it to be a targeted attack.

The two adults and three children are fighting for their lives, according to Bexar County Sheriff’s Office Javier Salazar in a press conference. Officers responded to a call about a shooting in the 6700 block of Windsor Hollow Dr. in San Antonio around 7:40 p.m. local time. When they arrived at the scene, they found five people with gunshot wounds. The youngest victim is just 4 years old.

The five victims were taken to the San Antonio Military Medical Center in critical condition. No further details regarding his condition have been provided at this time.

Two suspects reportedly arrived at the residence in a vehicle, approached the home and fired between 20 and 25 shots from long semi-automatic rifles. The subjects fled the scene after the attack. “It’s a miracle we’re not dealing with five bodies right now,” Salazar said.

The information obtained so far indicates that the suspects and victims possibly knew each other. No weapons were found at the scene and the suspects have not yet been identified.

Authorities have said they do not believe there is an imminent threat to the public. However, the investigation into this incident is ongoing.
