The French striker Kylian Mbappé played his last game with PSG in France this Saturday in what was the 2-1 victory in the French Cup against Olympique Lyon and after the match he made it clear that although it hurts him to leave his nation, what is to come it will be much better.
In statements to the press, Mbappé shared his feelings about this new stage that he is about to begin and in which he has not yet confirmed his destiny, but continues to assure that the new challenge in his career will be fantastic.
“What I have had here I will not find anywhere, but I will have other things and I know that what awaits me will also be fantastic,” said the player, who leaves PSG as the top scorer in history.
Mbappé stated that he would like to know that “the mentality” of the fans has changed and that “more and more young people will want to play for PSG.”
“I hope they continue watching PSG. And for me, it is normal, I hope, because I have made them dream. I have tried to change their mentality a little, make them want to play for PSG and succeed here. We have always wanted to inspire young people,” he said.
The forward acknowledged that “after so many years here” he feels “a pain in his heart” knowing that it will be his last game.
At the same time, he was happy for the victory in the French Cup, a trophy that they had not won for three years and which, he said, is very loved in the locker room because PSG is the one that has lifted it the most times.
