The tennis player Novak Djokovic and his Spanish counterpart Rafa Nadal shared this Saturday for the first time in 2024 at the Roland Garros facilities and after seeing each other they enjoyed a warm and affectionate hug amid the applause and shouts of joy from the attendees.

Djokovic, number one in the ATP ranking and who landed in Paris with the immediate objective of defending his crown that he won in 2023, appeared this Saturday on the central court of Roland Garros to enjoy his first official outdoor practice and upon arrival he He met Nadal who was finishing his turn.

After finishing arranging his personal belongings, the Balearic began to greet those present until he met the Serbian, who did not hesitate to shake his hand and hug him.

Although it lasted only a few seconds, Nadal’s gesture towards Djokovic felt like a good vibe, especially for the crowd that increased the noise in response to the meeting between the two world tennis legends.

After that, Nadal began his way to the locker room while Djokovic began to “rally” in the arena dejectedly with his preparation team.

With a confirmed schedule, Rafa Nadal will debut next Monday, May 27, against the German Alexander Zverev, world number four, while Djokovic will play the next day, Tuesday the 28th, against the Frenchman number 143 in the ranking, Pierre-Huges Herbert, with whom he will try begin his path to achieving his 25th Grand Slam.
