Rapper Nicki Minaj apologized to a crowd of fans who gathered outside her Manchester hotel over the weekend after being forced to postpone a concert due to an arrest for possession of “soft drugs” in Amsterdam.
“Please, please, please accept my deepest and most sincere apologies. Today they knew exactly how to hurt me, but this too shall pass,” said the singer in a video that she shared on the official social networks of her Pink Friday 2 Tour.
The “Starships” singer offered those words to her followers after having spent nearly 6 hours in a jail in the capital of the Netherlands after being detained at Schiphol airport.
Minaj, 41, was scheduled to perform at Manchester’s Co-op Live Arena on Saturday night. However, she was forced to postpone the concert after being arrested in Amsterdam for alleged drug possession.
In his were affected.
The singer alleged that she could not solve the problem quickly because the security elements deprived her of her freedom to prevent her from giving the show in Manchester and thus affect her, so she announced that she will take legal action against her.
“I have a lot of video evidence (he even broadcast his arrest live). You wouldn’t believe it if I told you. I will have the lawyers and God handle this though,” she wrote.
Nicki suggested that her former management company could have been behind the arrest, because she discovered that some managers had been pocketing between $32 and $54 thousand dollars for years.
“I recently fired a tour manager who did the same thing and I was angry because he was fired. His goal is to make me arrive late and pocket $40,000.”
Nicki Minaj did not clarify exactly the charges she will accuse, however, on social networks she assured that the marijuana belonged to one of her security guards and that they had taken her luggage without her consent.
The “Super Bass” singer was released after paying a fine of $380.
