“The Braves announce that Ronald Acuña Jr. has suffered a complete tear of the anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee. He will miss the remainder of the 2024 season,” the team wrote in a brief statement.
Regarding the situation, Acuña Jr. had spoken to the media at the end of the duel, in which he explained that he expected to remain out of action for a period similar to the injury he suffered in 2018, where he also suffered a cruciate ligament strain in his knee. left and left him without participation for just over a month.
