The technical director of the Mexican team, Jaime Lozano, was quite happy with the 1-0 victory that his team achieved this Friday against the Bolivian national team in the first of the three friendly duels that they will hold in the United States prior to the Copa América 2024 that will take place in that same country starting June 20.

During the match, several youth teams had the opportunity to add minutes with El Tri and thus learn about Jaime Lozano’s process to face this important competition in which Mexico hopes to go as far as possible and even become champion of this iconic tournament of the Conmebol.

In statements offered during the press conference after this match, the strategist of the Aztec team was quite happy with what was achieved in the match against Bolivia, which will also serve as a preamble for the young U-23s who will also participate in the Maurice Revello Tournament in France; There he highlighted his dedication and stated that he wants to continue placing them on the playing field so that this generational change can be generated within El Tri.

“I am very happy because there were very outstanding players beyond the result, beyond the performance that at times went quite well, I think the boys started very strong, they had several options but there are players who are leaving a great taste in their mouths,” express.

“I wouldn’t like to say a name but there are three or four that make me very happy today, I am sure that they will have opportunities soon in future concentrations and in upcoming matches of the National Team,” added Jaime Lozano in his statements to the media.

Finally, Lozano highlighted the presence of the coach of the Mexican U-23 team, Ricardo Cadena, who was by his side on the bench to analyze the performance of the team’s youngest players.

“This set is for the projection we have for 2026 and we are convinced that if they continue on that path we will have many of those players in concentrations. Very happy, it seems easy to win but it is quite complicated. The intention is for these players to continue growing and opportunities and minutes in the senior team, today several of them have earned to continue being taken into account in the process, they will surely be the basis either in this process or in 2030 for the national team,” he concluded.
