American singer Lenny Kravitz gave a powerful musical start to the soccer Champions League final between Real Madrid and Borussia Dortmund with guitar rock amidst flames of fire and dancers who recreated a disco party.
The chords of ‘Fly Away’ were the first to be heard from a ‘medley’ with some of his most popular hits, among which was ‘Are you gonna go my way’.
The artist, who has just turned 60, displayed his characteristic energy in a short show of just under ten minutes in which he was surprised by the pyrotechnics and tongues of fire that accompanied the performance.
Dozens of dancers in bright clothing recreated an open-air disco on a spectacular stage that was set up and taken down in a matter of seconds.
Kravitz’s performance, after the anthems of both teams had been played and before the players entered, served as an energetic introduction to the Champions League final, where Madrid is seeking the Decimoquinta and Borussia Dortmund its second title.

The former Real Madrid technical director caused a sensation with his presence, as dozens of fans approached him to greet him and request photographs and videos.
