At the end of July last year, the death of actor and comedian Paul Reubens was confirmed. Now, almost a year after his death, he has put up for sale the house in Los Feliz, California, that belonged to him for almost 40 years.

The property has just entered the real estate market for $5 million, a low price compared to the price of other historic properties.

It should be noted that Reubens owned this place from 1985 until the day of his death in 2023. In 1985 he paid only $415,000 dollars, but the passage of time has increased its value.

It should be noted that the 80s were the decade of great momentum in the career of Reubens, who starred in ‘The Pee-wee. Wee Herman Show’ (1981), ‘Pee-wee’s Big Adventure’ (1985), ‘Pee-wee’s Playhouse’ (1986) and ‘Big Top Pee-wee’ (1988). In ’88 he also received his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

The residence was originally built in the 1950s and sits on a 1.4-acre lot. It is clear that the actor and comedian was in charge during those almost 40 years of making renovations that kept the place in good condition, and that it also looked modern.

The main house is approximately 5,000 square feet on one floor with three bedrooms, two full bathrooms, one half bathroom, foyer, living room, great room, dining room, kitchen, laundry room and other amenities.

Although restorations have been made to the property in recent years, it still maintains many of its original details. Mention must be made of its slate floors, sliding doors, ceilings with exposed wood beams and walls decorated with patterned wallpaper.

Juliette Hohnen, the real estate agent handling the sale, wrote on Instagram: “This mid-century modern home is tastefully done with a touch of atomic decor. Her personal assistant Allison Berry recently told the Washington Journal that she remembers Reubens preparing butter lettuce salads in the kitchen, which has a breakfast nook, yellow Formica countertops and vintage wallpaper with tea and vegetable trays. ”.

Outside there are extensive green areas with different types of trees, a terrace, swimming pool, dining room, spa area, pond and other spaces ideal for enjoying the outdoors with family or friends.
