Venezuelan forward Salomón Rondón was the key figure in Pachuca’s victory in the final of the 2024 Concacaf Champions Cup, being crowned MVP and top scorer of the tournament.

The Mexican team beat the MLS Columbus Crew 3-0 at the Hidalgo Stadium thanks to a scoring double from the Caribbean forward.

Rondón led the Tuzos attack with a stellar performance, scoring a total of 9 goals throughout the tournament, including a hat-trick in the quarterfinals against the Philadelphia Union. His dominance in the area and his scoring instinct were fundamental to Pachuca’s success.

In addition to the MVP and top scorer awards, Pachuca won two other individual awards: Emilio Rodríguez (Pachuca) was named the Revelation Player of the Tournament, Patrick Schulte (Columbus Crew) was the best goalkeeper and the Columbus Crew, for its part , received the Fair Play award.
