A 17-year-old teenager who was reported missing after leaving her home in Bellville, Texas, was found alive and is reunited with her family. The minor remained missing for four days after leaving a disturbing farewell note on her pillow.

According to a report published by KHOU, Francis Schrader, the mother of teenager Geneva Hodge, discovered the note after her daughter disappeared for several hours: “This will be the last time you will hear from me for a long time. I love you mom, I will always be your little girl,” says the note that caused her mother’s alarm.

Prior to Geneva’s disappearance, Schrader had had an argument with his daughter about a romantic relationship she was allegedly having with an older man. Her mother clarified that Geneva had left her cell phone, had not brought any clothes and had not used her debit card while she was missing, according to Daily Mail.

Schrader’s concern increased when her daughter, who was preparing to enter her senior year of high school, was seen with an older man, causing fears she could be a victim of human trafficking.

However, despite the concerns, four days after Geneva went missing, a stranger called the mother’s number using a missing person sign to report that the teenager had been found. The mother drove to the town of Spring to look for her daughter.

The Bellville Police Department confirmed that Geneva was found safe and sound on Sunday, while the mother confirmed that the teenager is fine and slept for a while, according to statements reported by Daily Mail.

In the midst of her daughter’s disappearance, Schrader shared that she hadn’t “smiled” since finding out her daughter was missing, but that she had been “brilliant” since she was found.

Private investigator Colman Ryan, who worked with Schrader to find his daughter, told KHOU that something about her disappearance seemed “off.”
