Shocking images were experienced this Tuesday during the women’s friendly between the Democratic Republic of the Congo and Morocco when a player from the Congo punched an opponent hard in the face after being expelled from the match.

During the second half of the match with Morocco’s partial 2-1 victory, a strong foul by Congo’s forward, Ruth Kipoyi, was sanctioned by the main team with a red card due to the violence of the infraction.

As expected, the Moroccans came to defend their partner for the blow she had received and that was when Kipoyi exploded with the madness of aggression.

One of those who tried to separate and avoid the fights was the Moroccan player Yasmin Mrabet, but when she met Kipoyi she hit her face with the closed fist of her left hand, which left her lying on the floor.

As expected, Mrabet required medical help for the incident while Kipoyi was expelled from the field of play.

After the action, there were many who asked for an exemplary sanction for Kipoyi, starting from the attacked Mrabet herself who published a statement on social networks rejecting the violence to which she was exposed.

“This incident should not overshadow the exponential growth of our football in recent years. African teams are appearing on the world stage, and for a reason. ‘Appropriate procedures are being carried out to report past events and from now on I am only looking forward,’ Mrabet said.
