Naomi Biden testified this Friday in the trial against her father, Hunter Biden, revealing details about a visit to the rehabilitation center where President Joe Biden’s son was admitted in 2018, a time in which he acquired a firearm despite his addiction. something prohibited by law.

The eldest granddaughter of the president of the United States entered the court this morning in Wilmington, Delaware, where the trial is taking place for falsely stating that he was not an addict on the federal form for the purchase of a gun in 2018.

Naomi Biden’s testimony focused on two meetings with her father in 2018, around the time of the gun purchase. The first meeting occurred in the summer, during a visit to a rehabilitation center in Los Angeles where Hunter was admitted.

The young woman reported that on that occasion her father was “the cleanest I had seen him since my uncle died,” referring to Beau Biden, who died in 2015 from a brain tumor, which plunged Hunter into a deep depression. and substance abuse.

The second encounter was in New York in October, the same month Hunter purchased the gun. Naomi testified that her father seemed “hopeful” at the time, causing Hunter to wipe away tears in court.

The trial will continue next week and it is unclear whether Hunter Biden will testify before closing arguments. During the week, several people have testified, including Hunter’s ex-wife, Kathleen Buhle, and an ex-girlfriend.

Buhle recalled the shocking moment she discovered a crack pipe in July 2015 and her then-husband’s admission to being an addict. Additionally, she detailed how she would search her husband’s vehicle for drugs before allowing her daughters to use it.

The charges against Hunter Biden stem from an investigation launched in 2018 during the Donald Trump administration.

The former president and future Republican candidate in the November elections has used this case to attack his opponent, Joe Biden. The Democratic president’s son faces another trial in California, where he is accused of tax evasion of $1.4 million.
