Kyrie Irving, player of the Dallas Mavericks, stated this Thursday that he expected “more noise” at the TD Garden in Boston, to which he returned amidst boos as a rival to play the first game of the NBA Finals, which ended with a loss of the Texans 107-89.

“In the end, it’s basketball. I am used to these environments. At the beginning of my career I had a different relationship with Boston, but now I’m here as a veteran,” Irving said in the postgame press conference at TD Garden.

“I thought there would be more noise, but I expect the same in the second game. The energy must be focused on the game,” he added.

Irving did not exceed twelve points, with six of 19 in field goals and zero of five in triples.

“It’s the best time of the year to play. The environment will be what it is, but I want to make sure I maintain the trust,” she stated.

The Celtics crushed the Mavericks in the first game of the Finals, driven by the extraordinary return of the Latvian Kristaps Porzingis, who had 20 points, six rebounds and three blocks off the bench.

Jaylen Brown scored 22 points and Jayson Tatum added 16 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists, although he also committed 6 turnovers.

Luka Doncic recorded 30 points and 10 rebounds, but only had one assist, a rare feat for the Slovenian star.
