Trader Joe’s is in the news because it put on sale a new mini insulated bag that is selling out quickly and is even already up for resale on sites like eBay and Facebook Marketplace.
Nakia Rohde, a spokesperson for Trader Joe’s, told USA Today that the new insulated mini tote comes in various colors such as teal and deep magenta, and that it is useful and practical, ideal for carrying cold snacks or six-packs of ice cream on the go. beach, a pool party or a barbecue.
It’s not certain how many mini insulated containers resellers have purchased, but the bags are currently listed on resale sites for between $20 and $89.99, down from their original price of $2.99.
Given the high demand for this new product and how quickly they are running out, Rohde said that the chain hopes to have “more available this summer,” while highlighting that they will do everything possible to stop the reselling practice.
