The Powerball jackpot continues to grow and reached an impressive $221 million after no one matched the winning numbers in last Saturday’s drawing.

On Saturday night, the winning numbers were selected, but none of the tickets sold matched the full combination needed to claim the grand prize.

This means that the jackpot amount continues to increase, which has captured the attention of all the players in the country who dream of hitting the jackpot big in Powerball.

Powerball tickets are sold in 45 states, as well as the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico and the United States Virgin Islands.

Drawings are held twice a week, on Wednesday and Saturday nights, offering players multiple opportunities to win.

The next drawing is scheduled for this Wednesday, and participants have until shortly before the drawing to purchase their tickets for a chance to become millionaires.

If someone manages to match the winning numbers in the next drawing, they will be able to choose between receiving the full prize of $221 million in annual payments for 30 years, or a one-time cash payment worth considerably less: $104 million.
