A married man with three children fatally shot his brother and wounded their mother inside the family home in Queens Saturday night before taking his own life, police and sources said.

Identified as Karamjit Multani, 33, entered the room of his brother Vipanpal Multani, 27, without warning around 10:30 p.m. and opened fire, shooting him in the torso before fleeing the residence in 95th Street and 11th Avenue in South Richmond Hill, police said.

The older brother was later found a mile away with a suspected self-inflicted wound to the head and a gun next to his body, sources said.

The mother of both, 52 years old, was grazed by one of the bullets in the torso. She was rushed to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Vipanpal did not die immediately after being hit, but died from his injuries in the same room of his house.

“He told me, ‘Please don’t let me die,’” the family’s neighbor explained to CBS News, recalling how he ran into the house after chaos broke out. “He died in my hands later.”

The shock of the murder-suicide unfolded after a quiet evening that included a family pizza dinner, the brothers’ father told the outlet.

What led Karamjit to kill his younger brother has not been fully clarified.

“We don’t know that. “I don’t know,” the father said, adding that Karamjit burst into his brother’s bedroom and immediately sprayed him with bullets without saying a word.

According to the father, the perpetrator was in good financial health and showed no signs of aggression toward his family, who had no idea he had a gun in his possession.

When asked if there were any problems between his children, the desperate father expressed the following: “They are not big problems. “Sometimes, small disagreements, there are no problems.”

“He was one of the nicest, coolest guys, always joking,” Jaspreet Singh said of Karamjit Multani. “What could be going through his mind to explode like that?”
