Three years after Armie Hammer was accused of cannibalism on social networks and lost important roles in Hollywood, the actor opened up and shared that thanks to that situation he feels grateful because he was able to find peace of mind in his life.

In an interview for the ‘Painful Lessons’ podcast, the “Call Me By Your Name” star said that, as a result of the whole scandal, her career was ruined and she had to look for other options and now she feels happy to be out of it. Hollywood.

“Whatever people said, whatever happened, I’m now in a place in my life where I’m grateful for every little thing, because where I was in my life before all those things happened to me I didn’t care. I felt good, I never felt satisfied, I never had enough, I was never in a place where I was happy with myself.”

“I never knew how to give myself love, I never knew how to validate myself, but I had that job where I was able to get it from so many people that I never had to learn how to give it to myself,” he said.

But before he could feel grateful, Hammer revealed that he went through a difficult time and even his mental health was affected, to the point of thinking about suicide.

“There were many times when I thought I couldn’t take this anymore. “I was feeling hate… so it just came in… there was a moment when I was standing on the shore and I swam too far away and I was lying there… a half-hearted suicide attempt… But I thought I couldn’t do that to my children,” he added.

Two years ago it was revealed that the actor works in a hotel located in the Cayman Islands, where he sells timeshares.

“He sells timeshares, the reality is that he is totally broke and is trying to work every day to support his family,” an anonymous source told Variety.

Armie Hammer’s film career and personal reputation received a severe blow, from which it may be impossible for him to fully recover, when his alleged taste for sexual fantasies related to submission and even cannibalism came to light in mid-2021.

He was later accused of something much more serious: he was reported for an alleged rape and the Los Angeles County police began an exhaustive investigation to get to the bottom of the matter.
