The world famous chef, Gordon Ramsay, used his Instagram account to upload a video showing the injuries he had on his body after suffering a serious accident on his bicycle. This announcement was made within the framework of Father’s Day, where the Briton emphasized that cyclists must always wear a helmet.

The cook explained that the accident happened when he lost control of his bicycle, while he was in the state of Connecticut, located in the northeastern region of the United States.

“I would like to share an important message with you… you know how much I love cycling and triathlons. This week, unfortunately, I had a really serious accident and it moved me,” the man explained in the clip, where he clarified that he did not suffer any major fractures or injuries.

Along the same lines, the renowned chef stressed: “Honestly, I am lucky to be alive. The surgeons, doctors and nurses at New London Hospital took incredible care of me. But I want to clarify that they wear a helmet, it doesn’t matter if the trip is short or if it is expensive, it is crucial,” he assured.

“Everything hurts. “This week was brutal and I’m more or less getting over it, but I can’t tell you how important it is to wear a helmet,” Ramsey clarified. In turn, the protagonist showed one of the great consequences in his intercostal area, which shows a gigantic bruise due to the blows.

Finally, before extending his greeting to the parents on their day, Ramsay thanked the professionals who were with him at this unfortunate time.

“I am grateful for all the doctors, nurses and staff at Lawrence Memorial Hospital in New London who cared for and examined me, but most of all I am grateful for my helmet that saved my life,” he added.

Once this post was published with the mission of raising awareness, social media users were surprised by the chef’s physical condition and sent him all kinds of messages.

“He thought it might have been a little accident, but my goodness, that bruise says otherwise! I’m glad you’re okay,” “I can’t help but notice that your left hand is shaking a lot. I hope it’s just a tic while you’re talking in this video and nothing more serious”, “That bruise is big. It must still be very painful. And your hand was still shaking. Take care of yourself” and “Very good advice, I’m glad you’re well,” were some of the words of his followers out of concern for his health.
