New York – JetBlue airline is promoting discount flights to different cities in the Dominican Republic starting at $99 from this week until June 24 to celebrate 20 years of presence on the Caribbean island.
“As the largest airline in the Dominican Republic, JetBlue is proud to serve the Dominican community for 20 years. To celebrate its twentieth anniversary in the Dominican Republic, the airline announced a limited offer for flights to and from the DR,” reads a statement from the company sent to El Diario.
Two decades ago, the Dominican Republic became the airline’s first international destination.
Flights depart from four airports in the US.
The airline company reported that discount flights depart from John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) in New York; Boston Logan International Airport in Massachusetts; Newark Liberty International Airport in New Jersey; and the Luis Muñoz Marín International Airport, in San Juan, Puerto Rico.
From Florida, those interested in flying to the Dominican Republic can also do so through Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport or from Orlando International Airport.
Cheapest flight starts at $99
The press release states that the cheapest one-way flight starts at $99.
The offer corresponds to the flight from Boston to Punta Cana.
The other cities you can travel to with a discount are: Santiago, Puerto Plata and Santo Domingo.
Some restrictions on the offer
Reservations are for flights between September 8 and November 20 of this year.
Does not apply to crossings on Thursdays, Fridays and Sundays.
Flights are subject to availability. The promotion does not include additional services such as baggage check-in and seat selection.
