Colombian Shakira has informed her followers that her father has been officially discharged. Her announcement was made through her X account (former Twitter).
Yesterday some media had reported this same news, but now it has been confirmed by the singer herself.
He did not give details about how exactly his father William Mebarak is doing, but wrote: “The fight continues, and in the meantime, that smile of his, which shines even in the most difficult moments, is my best example.”
The positive thing is that he is no longer hospitalized and that he can share with his family and enjoy his own home. It must be remembered that Mr. Mebarak was hospitalized at the Clínica Iberoamericana, in Barranquilla, Colombia, where the music star was born.
In the same publication by X he wrote: “18 days ago I arrived in Barranquilla from the emergency room to accompany my father and fight alongside him. Yesterday, thanks to the great human and medical team at the Clínica Iberoamericana, and his incredible strength, I was able to take him back home to my mother’s side, who never lets go of her hand.
He also took the opportunity to thank all his fans, because during these days they have given him support. “Thank you all for sending me your strength and love, and also for never letting go of my hand.” It should also be said that Shakira’s father has been hospitalized on other occasions.

It should be remembered that Shakira is scheduled to begin the first leg of her tour ‘Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran World Tour’ on November 2 in Palm Desert, California.
This first leg of the tour includes several cities in the United States and the last confirmed date is December 15 in Detroit, Michigan. He is expected to announce tour dates in Latin America and Europe in the coming months.
However, it is not known how he is preparing for the tour with his father in poor health.
