After his injury in the debut against Jamaica and 48 hours after playing against Venezuela, the extent of the damage to Edson Álvarez’s biceps remains unknown. However, this Monday he was seen arriving at the Los Angeles rally on crutches.

A video published on the social networks of the TUDN network was responsible for revealing how the midfielder’s right leg is currently. In the recording, Álvarez is seen getting off the bus on crutches.

The extent of the injury is not yet known, since Álvarez had pending medical examinations that were conditional on the reduction of inflammation in the affected area. However, the pivot continues to travel with the national team.

What has Edson Álvarez said about his injury?

Through his Instagram account, the midfielder shared a photo from the match against Jamaica and wrote an enigmatic message in which he thanks for the expressions of affection and support and seems to say goodbye to the competition.

“God knows what it says. God knows what he takes away. God knows what he does. Thank you for his message, together and united,” he wrote.

How was he injured?

It was around the 28th minute when the pivot, in a defensive retreat play, was chasing a Jamaican rival and ended up ignoring the action to throw himself onto the grass twisted in pain. The midfielder had to come off the bench and did so in tears, almost unable to walk and supported at all times by the medical teams.

After leaving the field of play, Álvarez had to leave the NRG stadium on a stretcher. The extent of the injury will be known between this Sunday and Monday. This type of physical mishap usually inflames the affected area and it is necessary to wait for it to subside before carrying out medical studies.
