In July 2024, Social Security disability beneficiaries will receive their payments on various dates, as scheduled by the Social Security Administration.
Below, we detail the dates and amounts for Supplemental Security Income (SSI) and Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) payments.
The Social Security Administration has scheduled payments for SSI and SSDI recipients on five different days in July 2024.
The first payment will be for Supplemental Security Income (SSI) recipients on July 1, 2024. This payment remains unchanged as SSI is typically issued on the first day of each month.
SSI payments on July 1 and SSDI on July 3
After SSI payment on July 1, SSDI will be paid on July 3. This early payment will benefit two specific groups of people.
First, those who started receiving Social Security before May 1997 will receive their payment on July 3. Second, those who receive both SSI and SSDI at the same time will also receive their payment on this date.
SSDI payments on July 10, 17, and 24, and amounts
For beneficiaries who began receiving Social Security after April 30, 1997, payments will be made on the second, third or fourth Wednesday of the month, depending on the date of birth.
Beneficiaries born between the 1st and the 10th of any month of the year will receive their payment on July 10.
Those born between the 11th and the 20th will receive their payment on July 17, and those born between the 21st and the 31st of any month of the year will receive their payment on July 24.
As for the amounts, individual SSI beneficiaries can receive up to $943, while married beneficiaries can receive up to $1,415.
The maximum SSDI payment can be up to $3,822.
Average SSI payments are $697, and average SSDI payments are $1,537.
