Video footage shows the moment Mia Bailey, accused of shooting her parents to death in Utah, is arrested by officers.

In the recording circulating in the media, the 28-year-old transgender woman is seen being escorted through an open field near a residential area in Washington City by about seven officers, some with long weapons.

The video was recorded last Wednesday afternoon.

The police found his whereabouts after hours of searching, and after finding the bodies of his mother Gail, 69, and his father Joseph, 70, in a nearby home.

The motives of Mia, whose given name is Collin Troy Bailey, for committing the crime are unclear.

However, in statements to investigators, the suspect confessed that she hated her parents and that she would do it again, in reference to the murders.

Tiffany Mitchell of the St. George Police Department announced in a video on social media that Bailey was in the custody of authorities.

“We have good news. We have the suspect in custody, everyone is safe. “No one else was injured,” the spokeswoman said.

“So the shelter-in-place order that we implemented in this area has been lifted. Again, there is no outstanding suspect,” Mitchell added.

Bailey’s arrest ended a search that lasted about 16 hours after authorities responded to a call of shots fired at the victims’ residence. After the attack, the transgender woman left the scene in a yellow 2014 Kia Sol car.

Early on Wednesday, police transmissions indicated that officers had located the general area in which Bailey was located.

The uniformed officers contained the area while they waited for SWAT agents.

On Tuesday night, Bailey entered his parents’ home and immediately opened fire on his mother. The alleged gunman also tried to kill her brother and his wife by shooting into the room they were in. However, the couple managed to escape unharmed through a window and call 911 from a neighbor’s house.
