A Maryland man has won another big lottery prize, taking home $26,748.60 on the virtual racing game ‘Racetrax.’ This came more than a decade after he won $100,000 on a scratch-off ticket.
The Rosedale man explained to Maryland Lottery officials that he continued playing the lottery after his $100,000 win more than 10 years ago, but never expected to win a big prize again.
“I just assumed I had already enjoyed my share of luck in the lottery — more than my share. I still play because I like it, and I still win sometimes,” said the lucky winner.
The man said winning several regular-sized prizes over the years did not prepare him for the results of the $4.80 Superfecta Box bet he placed on the Racetrax game at the Harford Mart store in Baltimore.
Their virtual horses, 5-7-8-12, crossed the finish line together. “When my horses arrived, I just couldn’t believe it. I’ve been playing with that combination for months. Something about her just felt right,” he said.
The winner remained calm when seeing the results. “I didn’t break down, although it was difficult. “It was so exciting,” he expressed.
The lucky man plans to use the money from his new fortune of $26,748.60 to pay bills.
