Paulina Mercado acknowledges that life has taught her to value every moment, to take care of her health and to be prepared to face any situation that may arise. She is grateful for the unconditional support of her family, friends and her partner, Juan Soler, who has been her rock in the most difficult moments.

“When the day of the operation arrived I was really calm, when they were taking me to the operating room Juan didn’t let go of my hand, he was with me, and when we had to separate (I told him): ‘Goodbye, I love you, goodbye’,” she said on the program ‘Sale El Sol’.

Mercado couldn’t help but recount some moments that have been key for her: “Suddenly I said to him: ‘Juan, come here for a moment. I came into this world to laugh, I came to have a good time, I came to love, I came to be loved, I came to enjoy myself, promise me that if I can’t do those things anymore you’ll let me go.’”

The experience of facing such a delicate health situation has taught her to live more intensely, to enjoy every moment and not to postpone her dreams. Paulina feels grateful for the opportunity to move forward and to continue sharing her passion for television with the public.

“I have had some peculiar health issues. I had a cerebral thrombosis, I had a cerebral infarction and because of the cerebral infarction I had heart surgery because a blood clot went to my brain and I had a heart problem, I have a small device in my heart, then I had viral meningitis. I am alive thanks to God and because I have something to do here, I still don’t know, but I am discovering what every day,” added Juan’s partner.

The host is focused on her recovery and moving forward with her life. Despite the obstacles, Mercado is optimistic and brave, ready to face any challenge that may come her way in the future.

“I am not afraid of getting older, I am afraid of how I will age, and I am not referring to the gray hair, I am referring to the attitude. Today I feel more alive than ever, when I have enjoyed life the most is at this stage. You already know what you want, you already know what you don’t want, you don’t care about looking good,” she said.
