Recipients of the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) began receiving food stamps on July 1.
Some states, such as Vermont, Rhode Island, Alaska and North Dakota, sent all payments on the first of the month.
On the other hand, in Texas or Florida, payments may be extended until July 28.

Requirements to qualify for the maximum SNAP benefit
To qualify for the maximum SNAP benefit, your household’s gross monthly income must not exceed 130% of the federal poverty line. For example, a family of 3 in 2024 must earn $2,694 or less per month ($32,328 annually).
