In April 2023, Jamie Foxx was rushed to the hospital due to an unknown health problem. There was a lot of secrecy surrounding that episode, and it took a long time for the actor to appear in public again.
In some interviews, he has talked about his situation, although without going into too many details. But in a recent conversation, the star of “Django Unchained” revealed some details regarding what he felt before ending up in a hospital.
In the video that went viral, and which shows the interpreter chatting in front of a group of people in a Phoenix cafe, he said that it all began with a very strong headache. Later, Foxx recalled: “Look, on April 11th of last year, I had a bad headache. I asked my friend for an Advil,” and after snapping his fingers, in a sign of the suddenness of the moment, he detailed: “I was out for twenty days. I don’t remember anything. And then they told me that my sister and my daughter had taken me to a doctor, and they gave me a cortisone shot,” he revealed.
In his own words, Jamie Foxx explained that after that a doctor examined him and said: “Something is going on up there,” referring to his head. However, despite giving these new details about his condition, the actor again preferred to keep the information to himself and then concluded: “But I’m not going to say that on camera,” he said.

News of his hospitalization was first made public on April 12 of last year, just a day after he was spotted on the set of his project with Cameron Diaz, “Back in Action.” His daughter Corinne reported at the time that her father had suffered a health scare and was recovering thanks to the prompt intervention and excellent medical care he received.
Following the incident, Foxx underwent physical rehabilitation at a specialized facility in Chicago known for treating patients with conditions such as stroke and brain trauma, TMZ reported.
Jamie Foxx thanked his fans and loved ones for their support during his recovery, with messages on different social networks.
While new details are gradually coming out, it is still a mystery what exactly happened to Foxx. A few weeks ago, a close friend of the actor explained to People magazine that he is currently “super busy, happy and strong.” “He is now excited about work, living a clean life and enjoying his good health. Jamie is a sociable guy, he likes to be with his friends, he has to be busy doing all kinds of different things. He is a real entrepreneur with new projects going on all the time,” he added.
Currently, Jamie Foxx is part of several film productions about to be released, such as the Netflix film ““Back in Action”, a spy film in which he shares the credits with Cameron Diaz. It was during the filming of this movie that he had to be urgently hospitalized.
