A house in Outpost Estates, Los Angeles, California, that once belonged to actor Orlando Bloom several years ago is up for sale. The residence hit the real estate market for $4.99 million and is being sold by O’Connor Estates.

This residence made headlines a couple of times while Bloom owned the place. In 2007 he decided to paint the entire facade of the main house black, and has kept it that color ever since. At the time the decision to change color was criticized by his neighbors.

Then, in 2009, the house was back in the news when it was burgled by the Bling Ring gang, who for a time carried out several burglaries at celebrity homes. Bloom was robbed of 10 Rolex watches, some Louis Vuitton luggage and artwork. He is said to have recovered five of the watches.

Bloom decided to sell the property five years after the robbery, at which time he received $3.9 million for the place. The buyer at the time failed to pay all the mortgage payments and it had to be auctioned off in 2022. So it passed into the hands of its current owner Jeff Martin, owner of Blueview Real Estate.

During these two years, Martin has been responsible for carrying out several renovations inside the property and in its outdoor areas, so it remains in perfect condition.

This property was built in the 1940s and sits on a 0.73 acre lot.

The main house has an area of 3,310 square feet distributed in four bedrooms, three full bathrooms, foyer, living room, great room, dining room, kitchen, laundry room and other amenities.

The interior of the house looks like it was taken from a design magazine. It has hardwood floors, a marble-topped fireplace, large windows and more.

Another of the most attractive parts are the green areas with a pool terrace, barbecue area, dining room and other spaces ideal for enjoying the outdoors.
