The 2024 Copa América is now in its quarterfinals after 16 teams gave it their all in the group stage of the tournament. Among them, the presence of Argentina, the current champion, stands out, who will seek to defend their crown.
In that sense, the Copa América has also been an opportunity for the most talented forwards on the planet to show off their skills.
Names like Lionel Messi, Julián Álvarez, Vinícius Jr., Salomón Rondón, Luis Díaz and Darwin Núñez, among others, have managed to make a place for themselves in the tournament’s top scorers table so far.
It is worth remembering that in the 2021 edition of the competition, held in Brazil, Lionel Messi (Argentina) and Luis Fernando Díaz (Colombia) shared the honour of being the top scorers, with 4 goals each. Lautaro Martínez (Argentina) and Gianluca Lapadula (Peru) completed the podium, with 3 goals each.
