There is no doubt that Victoria and David Beckham are one of the most established couples in the world of celebrities and they have proven it over the years. This Thursday, July 4, the former footballer and the former Spice Girl celebrate 25 years of marriage and they anticipated it with a striking image.
In the post shared from their respective Instagram accounts, where they have millions of followers, the couple posted a postcard in which they can be seen posing royal-style, sitting on two thrones, wearing the outfits they got married in. We are talking about that striking purple suit and dress by designer Vera Wang in which they said “I do” at the altar.
David wore a purple suit and shoes, while Victoria wore a mermaid-style dress with slits and silver sandals that she tied from the ankles to the knees, all in the same shade as her husband, but with some flowers around her neck in red tones.
“Look what we found…” they wrote in the description of the photo, which in just a few hours received almost 900,000 likes and thousands of comments from their admirers.
It is worth remembering that when Beckham and Adams tied the knot, they were already real celebrities. The celebration was held at Luttrellstown Castle, near Dublin, with some 300 guests, an event that cost almost $800,000 dollars just to rent the place. The British press also called it “the wedding of the year.”
According to The Times’ list of millionaires, the couple has a joint fortune of $575 million, as both have always known how to position themselves in the business world: he through sports investments and she focused on her fashion brand.
However, not everything was rosy for the couple. On several occasions, the media reported on the former footballer’s alleged infidelities, especially the apparent affair he had with his personal assistant, Rebecca Loos, during his time at Real Madrid (2003 and 2004), a story that was never confirmed.
