The matriarch of the Kardashian-Jenner clan, Kris Jenner, revealed that she will have to undergo surgery to remove her ovaries after doctors detected a tumor and a cyst.

The 68-year-old businesswoman shared her diagnosis during a new episode of the show “The Kardashians,” where she appeared alongside her daughters, Kourtney, Kendall and Kim, with whom she shared her feelings on the matter.
“I wanted to tell you something. I went to the doctor and had an ultrasound. This makes me very sensitive… they found a cyst and a small tumor on my ovary,” said the celebrity.
Following her diagnosis, Kris explained to her daughters that the doctor recommended that she have her ovaries removed, which shocked her because it was the very thing that allowed her to become a mother.
“The doctor told me that I had to have my ovaries removed and I feel very emotional because you have been very helpful to me with all of them. This is where all of my children were conceived and where they grew, in my womb. So this is a very sacred place for me,” she said.
“If I could get through hip replacement surgery, I can get through this,” Kris said. “I’m not nervous about the anesthesia. I’m not nervous about the doctor, he’s the best in the world. But I think about doing it and I’m nervous. It’s also a thing about getting older and it’s a sign that we’ve finished a part of life, it’s a whole chapter that’s just closed. It’s the dumbest thing, but I love you girls and I just wanted you to know that.”
“I’m going to be okay, I have you all. People often ask me what the best job I’ve ever had is, and I’ve always said: being a mom. The greatest blessing of my life was being able to give birth to six beautiful children,” she concluded.
For her part, Kourtney Kardashian understood Kris’s reaction to the tumor, adding that she felt empathy for her mother’s situation.
“I totally understand how my mother feels because I would feel the same way. It’s like your feminine power, and it doesn’t mean that you take away what she is or what she has experienced, but she would be overly sensitive about what she has created.”
“Having surgery and having your ovaries removed is a huge deal. I feel so sad for her. I can’t even imagine being in that situation and feeling really scared to go through that,” she said.
