The defender of the Club América Eagles, Ramón Juárez, was quite confident about the great dominance that the blue-cream team has shown throughout the last year and stated that the team is already more than prepared to begin its participation in the Apertura 2024 tournament of the Liga MX with the aim of being able to achieve the third championship within the tournament and become the first team in history to achieve this important feat.

The player made these statements during an interview with TUDN journalist Francisco Arredondo, where he assured that the team is already looking forward to working again under the orders of Brazilian André Jardine in order to continue establishing itself as the strongest team in the tournament and thus fight for the third championship title in the short tournaments; this after having defeated Tigres de la UANL in the Supercopa MX to achieve a dream season for the club.

“I think we are definitely looking for the third championship, obviously we also have the thorn of going to the Club World Cup, something that we have pending with the fans and with ourselves, but I think that the third championship is in our minds,” he said.

“Sometimes I feel like I don’t take it in, like I really look back and say: ‘I was already a champion with Club América’. It’s like it’s so indescribable at that moment that you can’t discern being a champion twice with the club I love. I don’t get it, but these are indescribable things that make me very happy,” added the Águilas player in his statements.

Ramón Juárez also stressed that this is not the only objective that the club has, considering that they still have many titles to conquer in order to be considered the best team of the time and to show that no one within the Aztec territory can match them.

“We need more titles, more things to achieve to go down in history as a team of the past, but I think that with the squad we have, with the coaching staff we have and above all because of the good group we have, it is something that is not easily seen in the biggest team like América,” concluded the defender.
