Gabriel Soto and Cecilia Galliano star in the play “El precio de la fama” (The Price of Fame), which was commented on by Gustavo Adolfo Infante, who highlighted the actor’s presence on stage. However, instead of praising his work, he only expressed his concern about the physical appearance of Irina Baeva’s partner, mentioning that his face is very damaged and that he should take care of his skin or undergo some cosmetic treatment.
The host mentioned that Soto is a handsome actor, but that he looks wrinkled and has bags under his eyes, suggesting that he apply creams or undergo cosmetic surgery to improve his appearance. “Gabriel is a very handsome guy, but his face is very damaged,” the TV host began by saying on ‘Sale El Sol’.
Gustavo Adolfo did not seem to feel comfortable with the first comment he made about Gabriel Soto’s physique, as he felt the need to continue. Infante shared that he himself has undergone cosmetic surgery to improve his physical appearance.
The TV presenter also took the opportunity to make some suggestions: “He should put on some cream, give himself a good stretch, that’s what he does. He’s very wrinkled, he has bags under his eyes, I don’t have them anymore because I had surgery.”
Infante’s statements have sparked controversy and criticism on social media, as many consider that focusing on a person’s physical appearance instead of valuing their artistic work is superficial and unprofessional. Some have said that Infante should focus on talking about the play itself and not the actors’ appearance.
However, Infante’s opinion could have apparently been to appeal to people in the entertainment world because they all owe it to the public that follows them not only on social networks, but also in their professional careers. Therefore, he would see it as very important to take care of their image in the entertainment industry, and invest in their appearance to remain current in the industry.
